What Is Pride?

Pride can mean many things to many people.

Much of the time, it’s just a party – that’s fine, all are welcome, and any excuse to party is a good one.
At times, it’s the first time someone feel comfortable with who they are.
Seldom, but regularly, it’s the first time someone finds out they’re not alone.
And, at least once, Pride is a brick-throwing riot.

We avoid going back to that last one by celebrating Pride here, and now, and together.
We keep it that way by realizing we’re all human, and recognizing that there’s only “the bigot” and anti-bigotry – there is no “non-”.
